CAS Christmas Cards with Stamp Simply

I'm so excited to be Guest Designing for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I've loved the vast selection of ribbons, stamps and paper pads for a long time, and drool each time Sharon adds new products! The ribbons are luxurious, and are so affordable.

Today, I've created three Clean and Simple cards using the new Anna Griffin Emerald Forest paper pad with matching sentiment/floral stickers. I can tell you that doing CAS cards is quite outside my box, but I'm liking them!

This card uses Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Dainty Dots - Side B with Anna Griffin Sentiment Stickers and a tiny Gold Metallic String bow for accent.

My last card worked up in less than five minutes with simple rectangle pieces and an Anna Griffin Christmas Tree sticker topped with a gold star.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store carries a versatile collection of supplies for your papercrafting needs from Spellbinders dies, JustRite Papercraft stamps and other stamps, ribbons of all textures, styles and thicknesses, beautiful papers from a multitude of companies and lots of fabulous embellishments.

Belli Challenge #183 - Thank You

The theme for the next two weeks over at the Belli Challenge - Thank You.  I would love to thank my greatest friend.  This person is so special to me, has been through a lot with me and visa versa!  The love and friendship is unbelievable.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of this person.  So courageous, honorable, sarcastic, funny, considerate and the BEST friend I have.  Of course, she is gonna say gross when she reads this post, but I am MOST thankful for my sister/friend Darsie Bruno!!

I created the roses with Rose Creations and the swirls were made with Floral Flourishes, both by Spellbinders® PaperArts.  The beautiful sentiment is Mix & Match Sentiments by JustRite® Papercrafts. The designer papers are from Gathering by Authentique.  My border edge is MS Doily punch.  The finishing touches are two pearls in the center of the roses.

Sisters

I created this card with my sister Darsie in mind!  She is the most talented artist in this papercrafting world that I am proud to know!  She inspires me to try new things and go out of my box, which is hard for me. Here is to the greatest sister I am lucky to have.

So I created the flowers using the holly leaves from Holly Motifs (retired) by Spellbinders.  I cut out the leaves multiple times and colored the back of the card stock to get the blended look.  I glued the pieces together to create a rose flower.  Then I cut out more leaves on green card stock for the leaves under the flower.  The frame around the sentiment is Standard Circles and Scalloped Circles by Spellbinders® PaperArts.  The sentiment is from Mix & Match Sentiments by JustRite® Papercrafts.  The doily edge was created using MS punch.  The designer papers are True Love by Basic Grey.

JustRite Papercraft Friday Challenge - WOW - White On White

This turned out to be so elegant and festive for the upcoming Holidays.  Over at the JustRite® Papercraft Friday Challenge, the theme is WOW - White On White.  This is hard for me, but I gave it a shot and I love it!

The background frame was created using the largest Majestic Labels Twenty-Five and was glued to white glitter paper.  Next I embossed the center cut out with the next die.  On white glitter paper I cut and embossed with the third and fourth Majestic Labels Twenty-Five and the oval was made with Radiant Rectangle, both by Spellbinders® PaperArts.  I cut and embossed with white embossing powder the poinsettia from "Festive Poinsettia", the sentiment is also from the same clear stamp set by JustRite® Papercraft.  The white pearls were added to the oval and the center of the poinsettia.  Next, add tulle and wedding sprigs and this project is complete.

Ornate Box

I just love creating boxes!  It is so fun to get out all of your Spellbinder® Paper Arts dies and put something very pretty together.  No reason for making this, just wanted to try something different than a card.

Here are the instructions:

1.      To create the box, cut/emboss the large Romantic Rectangles out of white card stock for the bottom.
2.      For box sides, cut white card stock 2 ¾ x 8 ½ inches. On the strip, score a line at 5 ¼ inches. Make two of these strips.
3.      To create the box top and flap, cut white card stock 6 ½ x 8 ½ inches and fold to 4 ¼ x 6 ½ inches.  Place folded edge inside the cut line of the large Romantic Rectangle die template, then cut/emboss.
4.      Measure and draw lines to create a 3 x 5 inch rectangle on the bottom of the doubled RomanticRectangle panel. Cut rectangle out and this forms your box flap.
5.      Run a bead of adhesive along the sides of the two strips to form your wall sides.  Run a bead of adhesive along the bottom of the wall sides and adhere to the bottom of the Romantic Rectangle panel.  Add a bead of adhesive to the top of the wall sides and adhere the Romantic Rectangle with the cut out rectangle on top.
6.      For the top of box, cut 5 ¼ x 3 ½ inches of white glitter paper, and adhere to top of Romantic Rectangle.
7.      Starting with the largest Decorative Label Twenty-Eight die, cut/emboss with white card stock.  Cut/emboss next smallest die with white glitter paper.  Continue in this manner until all dies from the set has been used.  Add foam dots to the back of each die cut.  Layer dies largest to smallest to box top.
8.      Cut/emboss fifteen Ironworks Motif from white glitter paper, and adhere one to center of box top.
9.      Cut off top and bottoms of the remaining Ironworks Motifs and put aside.
10.  For the sides, cut eight Ironwork Motifs centers in half length wise. Add adhesive to the back of these pieces with the Xyron Create-a-Sticker. Add these to the top and bottom of the wall sides.
11.  Wrap pink silk ribbon around the box and add uncut Ironwork Motifs centers to hold down ribbon. Use remaining cut centers and add to corner edges.  Tuck swirls under ribbon edge.
12.  Adhere cut end pieces from Ironwork Motifs that you set aside to the top of the box at the corners.
13.  Add pink pearls to decorate the box.
14.  Add Jolee’s dimensional sticker to center of Ironwork Motif on top of box.  Add a pink pearl to center of sticker.

Belli Challenge #182 - Harvest

Pumpkins are such a decorative vegetable.  They can be used  for Halloween or for Harvest/Thanksgiving.  I love all the orange, red and golden yellows this time of year.  On the Belli Challenge our theme for the next two weeks is Harvest.

My image is from The Pumpkin Patch Matstack.  The sentiment is "Antique Autumn Tags One" and the frame was created using "Antique Tags One" dies by JustRite® Papercraft.  I used Standard Circles and Classic Rectangle by Spellbinders® PaperArts.  My designer paper is from Hobby Lobby.  The  finishing touches are tan/white baker's twine in a double bow and a cut out of a gold leaf.
