Meljen's Design DT Day - Inspiration

This month we were asked to create something that "Inspires" us design team members.  I volunteer at our elementary school.  The BEST thing for me and it INSPIRES me is when a child can pronounce his first word and be told he got it right.  The excitement and the smile on the little ones face is unbelievable.  The joy of a child learning to read, is this most wonderful inspiration on this earth.

So, I chose to use "Story Time Boy" by Meljen's Design.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  My designer paper is from my sister's craft room.  My frame is created with the Classic Oval by Spellbinders.  I added twine at the top and bottom corners.  My finishing touches are six light blue pearls.

Guest Designer For JustRite Papercraft - Day Three

My final project is a coaster set using different stamps sets.  My coasters are 4x4 square white ceramic tiles from my local hardware store. To stamp on a tile surface use Stazon Ink and let you ink dry overnight or heat set your project. Stazon Ink is a solvent based stamp pad, designed for decorating non-porous surfaces such as glass, metal, shrink plastic, cellophane, aluminum foil, leather and acrylic. Stazon ink dries instantly on almost any surface and is waterproof once it dries.

Two of the coasters are created by stamping “Elegant Damask Background”  on to the white tiles with “Staz-On” Royal Purple ink.  The other two coasters were stamped with the roses and filigree design from Amazing Paper Grace Stamps “Vintage Filigree Fancies”.  Let all four tiles dry overnight or use your heat gun.  Lightly mist the stamped coasters with Krylon Workable Fixatif.  Let the tiles dry, then repeat. Once thoroughly dried, add four felt pads to the corners on the back of each tile. For gift giving, stack the tiles and tie a double bow of silk Lavender ribbon by “May Arts” from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.   To create your tag stamp “Hugs & Kisses Sentiments” onto white Bazzill paper.  Cut/emboss with Spellbinder Paper Arts™ Classic and Eyelet Circles to create the outer frame.

Guest Designer For JustRite Papercraft Day Two

For today’s project, I created this pretty card.
Foreverfriend
I stamped a sentiment from “Antique Valentine Tags One” byJustRite Papercraft with black Marvy ink onto designer paper by Basic Grey “Lucille” 6x6 paper pad and cut around the edges.  I cut out my second frame with the “Nested Oval  Medallion Labels”die.  I did this twice and used glue to bind them together.   The next frame is created with “Labels Eighteen” by Spellbinders Paper Arts™ and again adhered together.  My large frame is created with “Nested Medallions Label” die and again adhered together. I then cut 3, 1 inch strips and used a square punch to create my triangle shape at the end of my designer paper.  Finally, I created a double bow with 1.25 Silk Mauve Ribbon by “May Arts” from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I glued my layered piece to a teal Bazzill card.  My finishing touch is a teal rose by “Prima Flowers”.
Come back tomorrow for my final creation which I think you will love.

Guest Designer for JustRite Papercraft

I am so excited to be Guest Designer for JustRite Papercraft for the second time.  I just love working with these fabulous ladies and their awesome products.
Chocolatetreats

For my first day, I have created a candy box filled with wonderful treats inside.  The first thing I did was stamp “Cupid Background”  by JustRite Papercraft  onto white Bazzill paper with black Marvy ink.  Next, I colored the design with Copic markers, then I adhered the image onto my plastic box.  I stamped the “Happy Valentine’s Day” sentiment from “Antique Valentine Tags One” into the center of my heart image.  Again, I stamped “Chocolate Treats” from “Hugs & Kisses Sentiments” at the bottom of my background stamp. To make my candy wrappers I stamped three different sentiments from the “Hugs & Kisses Sentiment” set on white Bazzill paper with red Marvy ink.  I cut the paper I just created to 3x1 inches to cover my Hershey Chocolate Nuggets.  The bow is created with red satin ribbon and a double bow with a black brad.  My finishing touches are red and white pearls.
Come back tomorrow and see my next creation as the JustRite Papercraft Guest Designer.
